As a full service custom homebuilder we provide full architectural design and professional engineering based on your lot’s specific soil test. This is a standard part of our custom home features. Barreda Designs Inc. will work with you to create a home that is of exceptional design and more importantly maximum function for your lifestyle. We begin with generous standard features in our homes such as Moen plumbing fixtures, Sherwin Williams paint, Kent Moore Cabinets, Decora rocker light switches, and Maytag appliances. However, if your desires include custom features like exposed wood drop beams, exterior cedar details, stone & stucco exterior, wine grottos, or custom stone fireplaces we can be accommodating.
Uncompromised Quality Build and Construction
We believe the three most important components to a quality home are the foundation, frame, and finish. Whether we’re working with plans you have provided us or a new design by Barreda Designs, the plans are sent to R-MAC Engineering in The Woodlands. We have all home plans professionally engineered for their foundation design, wall & ceiling framing and roof framing. We begin with an exceptional conventional all steel rebar foundation with near commercial grade 3500 psi concrete. We frame your home with quality lumber. All solid wall studs and rafters are set 16” on center. We follow R-MAC Engineering ceiling joist design with all #2 grade lumber and/or engineered I-joists (for two story homes), Anthony Power Beams® and 1 1/8” Advantex® sub-floor. We completely wrap the home with 7/16” OSB and Tyvek® Home Wrap. We maximize home efficiency with vinyl double pane windows and Tech Shield® radiant barrier roof decking. We install a sophisticated 14 SEER Trane HVAC system with Honeywell digital humidistats and 5” pleated media filters. We take it a step above by installing hot wall barriers and dry blown R-15 fiberglass insulation in exterior walls and R-38 blown insulation in the ceilings.
